OneBigPlanet Corp. Announces 75 New National Partners Offering Gift Rewards.
February 3rd, 2006 – New York, NY - OneBigPlanet Corp. announces today that 75 new, national partners have joined the OneBigPlanet family of participating merchants to offer Gift Certificates to reward people who buy gifts online.
This new program is offered over and above people receiving up to 50% off on 16 categories of discounts accepted at 127,000 participating merchants. It brings the total number of national merchants to nearly 300.
Constituents of a participating OneBigPlanet organization will surf the Gift Rewards Web Site to view suggested gift items such as flowers, gift baskets, chocolates, etc… To reward them for purchasing gifts online, they will select from a list of 75 Gift Cards offered from the most prominent retail names such as Home Depot, Blockbusters, Applebee’s, Red Lobster’s, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and many other big names. Depending on the price of the gift item(s) purchased, the members will be rewarded with a $5 to $25 Gift Card valid at the retailer of their choice.
The selected Gift Card will be sent to the constituent within 7 days, to be enjoyed at a convenient time. So not only will they benefit from having a great list of suggested gift items to buy, they will also receive free Gift Cards in return for their purchases. It can translate into the equivalent of a 15% to 25% discount on their gift purchases. A great discount to be enjoyed along with the convenience of buying great gifts online.
As part of the OneBigPlanet’s Loyalty and Fundraising Program, each participating organization receives a customized Benefits Web Site. Now, on top of having several links to various benefits including dining, movie, travel, hotel and shopping discounts and more, the organization’s Benefits Web Site will feature a Gift Rewards link easily accessible and integrated to the technology platform.
Constituents will not have to change their shopping habits. Directly on the organization’s Benefits Web Site, they will simply click on the new Gift Rewards link tab to view and purchase gift items and receive their Gift Cards to thank them for their purchase.
The Gift Rewards are offered as an additional benefit. For the participating organizations, not only will they provide additional value to their constituents but they will also earn a few dollars from every purchase made by their constituents. It varies per transaction. Sales will be tracked through the Member Card # using a technology system. Commission on royalties will be paid quarterly.
